Our client, a profitable, growing, privately owned company is looking for a seasoned Accounting and Financial professional.

The individual who is hired will direct and supervise a staff of 5, interface with outside accountants, and provide advice and counsel to the owner and the senior management team.

This company is looking for an individual who is committed to process improvement that will help achieve “Best Practices” in the finance.  The company feels they are making progress toward “Best Practices” in a number of functional areas.

The company wants to have better control over its inventories and provide management with better costing information.  They have installed a sophisticated ERP system and want to as fully as possible utilize the new system’s capability.

Our client is looking for an individual who is very experienced maintaining inventory controls, both costing of inventory and working with operations on inventory accuracy.  To be considered a candidate needs to be skilled in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, and able to communicate to management accurate cost information and margin analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities.

There are other priorities in terms of process improvement in other areas (Accounts Payable, Reporting, and Budgeting in particular) that will be important over time

To be considered, a candidate must have at least 10 years of experience that includes quantifiable accomplishments (faster closes, recommendations that helped reduce costs and/or improve sales and/or margins).  Hands-on Accounting in a manufacturing company is a REQUIREMENT.  Strong PC skills, solid knowledge of ERP systems, and communication skills are required.

Experience in a small to medium sized company is a SIGNIFICANT plus.

The individual who is hired must be organized, self-driven, and able to set and keep reasonable deadlines that have been agreed upon.  He/she is expected to be a team player who is friendly but professional in his (or her) dealings with individuals whether they work inside the company or work elsewhere.

Roll-Up Venture in Medical Services Arena

Profitable Growing Company with Sales of $30+ million

Looking to go Public in 3 years

Base Salary up to $120,000 plus Bonus and Options

 

Our client is the CFO of a roll-up that just closed 2 acquisitions and is looking to provide the infrastructure for the current businesses (~$30 million) as well as other entities that will be purchased and integrated.  The sponsor group has a strong track record.

The controller role is a newly created position.  The requirements for the job are listed below:

At least 5 years as a controller with mid-size companies ($20M-$200M)

- Financial statement preparation

- Experience with tax filings

- Expertise with Great Plains or other similar software package.  Preferably recent experience         with an implementation

- Experience and facility with Excel

- Experience in managing borrowing relationship with bank

- Hands on - willing to roll up sleeves and do everything from planning to designing reports to some data entry

Preferred but not required experience:

- Outsourced payroll experience - preferably ADP

- CPA

As the company has grown they have needed a more sophisticated and responsive finance function.  This position was created to not only help automate and improve the efficiency of the budgeting process, but also to provide support on special projects including acquisition analyses.

Our client is looking for a degreed individual (ideally accounting or finance) with 3 to 5 years of accounting and/or finance experience (possibly 2 with an MBA) and strong PC skills (pivot table, etc.) who is a good communicator.  Exposure to a PeopleSoft G/L would be a plus.

 Project  Manager – PENSION FINANCE – Fortune 50 Company

We are assisting a leading corporation in their efforts to recruit a high potential individual to work in a highly analytical role in the treasury function at their suburban corporate offices.

This individual will be working for the Senior Manager of Pension Finance supervising and evaluating the performance of investment managers supervising a worldwide investment of almost $10 billion.

The thrust of the job will be to evaluate manager performance, stay abreast of trends in pension fund investment, and help in the administrative and compliance responsibilities of the pension fund.

Our client is looking for an individual with 5 or more years of experience.  An MBA is a plus but not a requirement.  Experience in pension funds either from the administrative or investment perspective is desired but not required.

This is not a typical pension finance role, as the next career step will probably NOT be in Pension Finance, but into another role in treasury (probably capital markets or international).  Over time there should be other more generalist career track opportunities in finance.
